Meerkat, suggest you look at other acquisitions Wood and Haynes have made. IF you get a moment read into IBR, 20c stock on issue and now trading approximately around a $.90 in November.
They acquired the Lickkvaz Gold Project much the same way they acquired the projects in BLR, just researched and researched whilst slipping under the radar and picking up what will probably prove to be a company making acquisition.
IBR have just completed a 17.5m placement, not bad from a start up co.

Your assessment of the BLR, regarding the US acquisitions (why would the yanks let this slip) - these guys are not your standard speckie mining stock board, they have a wealth of experience between them (with BHP & RIO) and actually get results, look at what they have done so far.
