re: sbs program: link to major report I think it was a tragedy, no ifs no buts.
But it does not necessarily mean we throw out Nuclear energy from the mix.
The show essentially argues for a change in modelling to reflect what the real results were. These figures included those deaths and cancers.
I guess it depends on one's view of global warming; ie are the floods, drought, famine etc. going to be of greater impact than melt down of the odd reactor.
I know that people will want neither, but I cant see how it can be done on the scale needed. We cannot argue that the rest of the world (undeveloped and developing) cant have what we have.
