You should be issued with a certificate from a qualified accountant to qualify as a sophisticated investor. It is based on your net assets / annual income level You would need net assets in the value of $2.5Million AND an annual income of $250,000 or more.
Unless you have a certificate issued, you are not classed as one.
You must be one of the lucky "ones" who obtained the email.
