I don't think disruptive is the right word...

Disruptive tech is something like DVD vs VHS tape, where within 1-2 years the old was almost entirely wiped out.

digital camera vs film, CD vs casette etc etc.

This is more like a step-change in productivity of the same tech, something like E-commerce portals for businesses, they sell the same goods but customers can buy through an automated system. Or bank ATMs, they didn't add functionality, but they certainly helped productivity and lowered costs.

This won't expand the functionality of the current lab environment or replace any existing tests, it is just increasing the productivity of the existing set-up in a meaningful way.
