Different waste, same opportunitie$

Interesting BBC home page article about an anaerobic system that is turning poo into profit. The writer comments on some of the "obvious financial and environmental advantages" and states that "on a global scale such processes have enormous potential."

If Warren Buffett reckons Gillette and Coca-Cola are "inevitables" because they fulfil a basic need that will always be there and because its easy to imagine what they will look like in ten years, then what does that mean for the efficient treatment of municipal solid waste? It strikes me humans can actually get by without shaving and Coke but we just can't avoid making waste e.g. used shaving blades and empty Coke bottles!

IMO the potential for ANQ is especially enormous in China: huge and growing population + growing affluence + growing waste problem (8-10% increase per annum) = huge and growing waste treatment opportunitie$

Personally, I'd love to buy up all the remaining .005s but I'm afraid I discovered Anaeco a week too late and have maxed out at an average of .006. However, IMO those two noughts should disappear forever once the XEPT deal is settled which, according to the AGM presentation, is estimated to occur "by 30 November 2016."
