    I accept your point datasponge, and it's certainly the majority viewpoint. However I'd question which of us was dealing in lottery tickets. My loss is quantifiable on every trade since I am a taker rather than a seller. I couldn't trade any other way, the thought of unlimited risk makes my blood run cold.

    However this is what makes trading 2 dimensional. It's not just getting the direction right, it's how you choose to trade your view of the direction.

    Andrew I haven't followed Neiderhoffer's career that closely although his name crops up in articles I read. He must be a remarkable man, the 'blowing up' trade would have metaphorically killed most traders.

    PS Some time ago you posted an erudite commmentary on the way the professionals 'work' the market to the detriment of private traders. If you still have a copy I wonder if you'd mind reposting it please.
    It might be a salutary reminder to all of us that we are small fish in a sea of sharks.
