Global Trade is beneficial to american interest, given, that trade between two countries is usually done through USD, as such countries (like China and Japan) need to hold USD... a RECP make USD less useful, and the CNY more useful....
Look at Iron Ore, for example... the US barely produces any iron ore; and barely produce any steel... but its legacy lives on.... and transactions are still quoted in USD per a tonne.... in the next 5/10 years it would be CNY per a tonne.
