It was a lost opportunity to further sell the company, instead it set the tone for a debate (or a lecture) on remuneration. One should be humble and respective of all shareholder views and accept their voting decision. Technically the vote had not yet even occurred and was an agenda item for the meeting. Much of the address could have been spoken to after the vote rather than formally be published as the major item in the Chairman's address when there was so much to be positive about.

There is 12 months to change their approach and/or perceptions. It was never going to change on the day so why try.
