I believe, anecdotally, that Melrose is a very tough character to work with, apparently very; "My way or the highway" type, and a particularly grumpy person - but as I say, I have only heard stories, I don't know for a fact!
But if true, it would make working around the board table very stressful.
I can only imagine the pressure they are all working under to get rapid movement and action whilst Dr Melrose is still fit and capable of working - then what?
