1. Get some proper scientists......your undertaking a scientific endeavor. Search globally, far and wide for a few proper f*:cken scientists. Pay them well (pretend that they are super important management types which everyone loves to throw money at, pretty soon you will understand they are actually super important. Take the step)
2. Your sales have increased at a greater pace than your profits = despite the talk of premium product etc, you're not keeping or maintaining margins. Fix this. I havent a clue how, but you need cash to at least maintain the business, you need even more to grow it.
3. SBT....what the? You had around 10 years, you managed to maintain broodstock in a land based facility, managed to manipulate environmental parameters to induce spawning, you got eggs, which led to larvae. Well done, but it adds to nought because you didnt complete the life cycle. Good try, but get over it. Focus cash on whats working. You can always get more broodstock later or just maintain the current broodstock at a minimal of cost until all of a) your raining in cash to allow such excessive RD, b) you get some proper f&*cken scientists (refer point 1.) , c) someone else makes a breakthrough which will allow you to progress. It stands to reason if it takes 3-4 years to figure out that taurine is essential, its going to take you 100 years to figure out the SBT life cycle with the current brain power.
