Yes it sure would have. Makes it difficult to know what to do. I like Alinta as a long term hold, excellent growth stock over the coming years IMO. But at same time if the price is good and they did mention cash & shares then hopefully there will still be a good stock to hold afterwards. The info sure is lacking at present but I guess they had to release to the market as soon as they knew.
