Roddismate - I put my money in when RoddSala, Sam, etc said things were ready to rock and roll. Consequently I'm down an absolute truckload due to lies, mistruths, failures, lack of disclosure, and generally, being screwed around by the management and self-interested people who were running the company, as well as by a couple of large shareholders who were no doubt best of mates with the management back then.
As for procrastination, if I had kept every dollar I've put into LUM in the previous 5 years and given them to Wally in the recent placement I'd be the largest shareholder in the company and would own around 10% of the company.
This company's previous failure is 100% due to Rodd Sala's failure and incompetence. Glad he has nicked off to the US to live. As for the current management - they are proving that they have the potential to resurrect this company from near bankruptcy.
It should also be remembered that the Sala family dumped a very large chunk of LUM shares onto the market depth at around 40c a few years back in the middle of a multitude of hyped-up type announcements. THink it was $4mill worth. They would be absolutely laughing their butts off.
And Rodd, I understand the ASX is not a TAB - that's why I've been holding a substantial position in LUM for nearly 5 years and have participated in 2 placements and got some convertible notes. I'm also not stupid enough to have LUM has my only investment. You are obviously naive or living in a coc*oon if you intend to insinuate that LUM shareholders have a TAB investing mentality hence the company's share price demise. Maybe a quick glance at the books where LUM has probably lost a total of $12mill plus since it has been listed and the quantity of shares listed has gone from around 50mill to around 250mill with another 25mill+ oppies now also listed.
Rodd and family are to blame for this debacle. The shareholders paid them around $500k per year for years to make this mess as well - think I could have done it for $50k per year.
Good luck to the current management. They are doing brilliantly ATM, IMO.
