For once (but this isn't directly political - more commercial / real world practical) I actually agree with you!!!
Soft skills certainly do matter. What value can be placed on sound judgement / drive / presentation (appearance) / ethics / perceived work to work (rather than clock in clock out) etc etc? In my mind the soft skills can be as important as the qualifications. The type of people that support that Scottish thug (Doug Cameron) are probably the last people I'd employ unless I knew what their work ethic was like beforehand (and I'm not talking about flogging them to death for crap pay in an unsafe environment). I'm talking about a fair days work for a fair days pay.
