To add to the above the key to where the money is made is the monthly subscription which keeps the customer sticky as they need the data gained every time the product is used so the churn should be low. Giving a good margin to the distributor also gives the incentive to sell.
Similar to Xero , the accounting package which uses this model to distribute.
