Numbers for Airtrunk plan for sydney (75MW) sounds huge, NXT entire operation is 35MW. Whilst Airtrunk may be a real threat i think numbers dont add-up. NXT has been spending capital over several years to build that 35MW capacity, so how can Airtrunk build double the capacity in only 9 months? we dont even know about the funding arrangements.
Like every other project Airtrunk will have project delays and issues along the way, when these issues come to surface, mkt will look at NXT favorably as NXT is a proven operator, i think. That might be the time to sell NXT as in the long run things are getting competitive.
To me 2.30-2.40 would be good level to buy, with increasing shorts and IT stocks being out of interest (both here and the US) we will get there soon.
