Given the stock has recently disaggregated at the very least I would say shorting figures shouldn't provide a representative picture. What is the element being reported as shorted? MLX (cum), MLX (new), and what about what is being delivered? Cum WGX or ex WGX.
I would be very cautions about guaging demand for MLX (new) based on historical MLX shorting data.
