In all other countries you are permitted to claim deductions, no one said you can't claim it..they just need to change it so that it is claim in a different way.
Sound like you are the one complaining all the time..you get to live in a country that is one of the best place to live in the world and you keep bitching about paying too much tax how the system is so 'unfair' that you have to pay a lot of tax to support other people some of whom too young, too old, can't work or wouldn't be employed by anyone for one reason or another.
