I disagree, it is the act that count as a show of confidence...... a case in point(not a cross promotion as this company is in a totally difference space), FMG, management always back their own ability by buying on market even when the chips are down......
I do agree with your initial point that he should not get share allotted to him as part of the remuneration package, but it should be heavily tied to share price performance....
