A big example i can think of...
I work on crushers both Mining and Quarrying (kinda same Workplace)
I flew down to Cobber Pedy To figure out what was wrong with one of there crushers...
In the end it took me about 1hr to figure out it was the spider bush had worn away normally costing roughly 5-8k as it was only a small crusher. Now it took 2 weeks to get the bush delivered and aprox. 3hrs to fit. That machine not running cost them roughly 60k in rock not being crushed which slowed down the rest of the job being constructed, now for those who dont know what a bush is it is simply (well in this case) hollow cylinder that fits over a shaft about 600mm long. now that could easily be printed (IMHO) and would have have saved this one crusher alot of money.
