Still think the Lion/ Kirin Breweries v The A2 Milk Company Court Case is absolutely one of the most important things for A2M's SP in the future IMHO but pls DYOR.
A2M/ATM is almost like a Sirtex company scenario all over again. SRX, a liver cancer company, was about $3 SP until it won a Court Case against UWA and has been up at $20s- $30s SP marks ever since. The interrelationship IMHO is the centripetal impact of a Court Case to future earnings, growth, capital, risk and sentiment not to mention consumption of product and regulatory support.
The phrase "contains A2" seems central to the case as A2 competitors use that phrase. So legal meanings and use of ordinary English as it is perceived by customers in set locations in Northern Sydney and SE Melbourne will presumably by deemed important (some of whom have English as a second language and may be confused by the labelling). Previous Privy Council cases have used and cited Orwell but the Australian (and NZ) Courts do not have such preoccupations.
The late George Orwell would indicate from arguably the most well known essay ever in the English language "Politics and the English Language" that "contains A2" is misleading and is used by companies other than A2 in a purely political context.
