Ask an A2 milk farmer, in fact most farmers around the English speaking world what form of measurement they use? Ask the grocers/ the local market grocery sellers? Stating the change is to metric is incorrect and outside of political fact. The change has not been accepted, not in the Trump election 2016, Brexit and other more recent elections/ referenda. What do u think England, Wales, Northern Ireland and all of the United States use in practise? Imperial or metric? The change is that imperial is coming back. Have a look at Brexit, the US election and altho u may have missed news from England recently, they voted themselves out of Europe and metric measurements. Even a possible winning party in France is considering taking France off metric should the leader get her wish and change from the "failed EU experiment". Metric seems as funny as the political Europe that created it. Bill English might even get rid of metric out of NZ when he takes the keys to Premier House in beautiful Thorndon, Wellington.

Just after 1976 when metric was introduced, it was an awful omen for NZ that continues to this day. Since 76, NZ has had to endure the Mt Erebus disaster that happened soon after metric where navigational charts were wrong, then the AIZ coverup that noone not even a Royal Commission or Privy Council could follow, the farms and banks got sold off, Lange, Clark, basically 40 years of disaster in NZ, it would be a great omen for NZ to rid itself of metric and go back to imperial. Might get rid of the ignominy of Key's failed flag debate, the earthquakes, EQC, Fonterra and all its other macroeconomic travails that have caused the great kiwi exodus that only now is slowly starting to reverse.
