The big two deserve all they get as has been said there is obviously a weakness in the management who also obviously sit in their glass walled A/C state rooms and do not know what is happening in the real world
All they have to sell is service, because the produce the sell can be bought anywhere
They have both been going downhill for a while so we will see others flood in from overseas to get on the bandwagon
It is the governments fault that they have allowed it to happen
First the shopping centres get built and sell a wide range at cheaper prices than the street shops, then the street shops go broke and the big two are then a monopoly where they send individual suppliers broke and promote their own brands, where they can raise prices and lower service
Aldi have gone through a cycle and are in the same category, they were better and cheaper five years ago but now have too much foreign content which after I had some discussions with them they admit that they do not check the quality of the products they get from overseas but rely on others to be honest
