Bear in mind blinding can be difficult to achieve where the treatment is has unusual side-effects that allow the researcher and/or the subject to guess which group they were assigned to.

Not too hard for the medicos to guess if someone has ketchup stains all over their jumper yet it's 5 sizes too big!
