Beave, I'd like to engage you in conversation about capital structure. What do you think is the optimum gearing for Slater & Gordon and why? When we've worked through that we can work backwards to reveal what needs to happen from today and what various statements in the press/company might mean. The next branch will be to look at the balance sheet and work out the probability of assets converting to cash in support of what needs to happen today, plus maintaining a sustainable level of growth - replenish assets. We can then move on to industry dynamics and consider possible outcomes 5 years down the track.

Gail Kelly didn't do too bad at Westpac and despite her critics Margaret Thatcher didn't do too bad for the British economy; your post about shielas does you no credit and reveals much about your character, think twice before posting. How can you say that you 'care little' about what the sp does on a day to day basis, when you told everyone here (many many times, I can pull up these posts to jog your memory) that you're a short term trader of this stock who earns a 'working wage' with SGH by buying at the lows and selling into the rallies??

I honestly have no beef with you day trading SGH, but it seems disingenuous and self serving for you to now act the part of a patient and stoic long term investor, and be all self righteous when others call you out for your fickle and opportunistic behaviour
