$1.2M HALF YEAR PROFIT
Prophecy International has had a very successful half year to December 2006. Preliminary estimates
prior to the completion of the formal half year accounts show a profit for the half of over $1.2 million
after tax (last year comparative was a loss of $.435 million). Revenues increased to some $2.9 million
(last year comparative was $1.53 million), which coupled with continued cost controls, resulted in an
emphatic return to profit.
Our cash balance at the end of the half stood at $5 million, which is the strongest total for over 4
years.
Prophecy will release its half year report later in February and directors plan to declare an interim
dividend of 2 cents per share fully franked.
Our major investment in the development of basis2 our customer information and billing system for
Water, Gas and Electricity utilities has been rewarded with a major sale in the North American market
to the City of Philadelphia Water Department. The interest in our solution has been building and the
pipeline for new customers is in a very healthy state.
Building on the success of the half just completed, the Board expects projected new revenues to
produce a profitable second half to complete the year.
