Just trying to imagine the day to day of their coffee shop. Perhaps after paying your money and waiting for your change, you see the barista pour you an X-Large cup. Your mouth begins to water and by the time it passes through the smoke and mirror conveyor to get to you, your cup is now espresso size. You are shocked and puzzled so much that you forget about your change but are momentarily appeased as the cashier offers you a complimentary half malteser.
