They are desperately trying to keep a lid on the rises- that is the reason for the negative press from 2 or 3 sources. Yesterday, they threw another $3 mil in gross shorts at it, but the sp still rose 13 cents ($4.35-$4.48)
Bit like pushing a stuck car only to see it roll further back, from a shorter's position. Or better, trying to apply the breaks but the machine just goes faster. They need to try to exit in an orderly manner- so bots at work trying to buy/sell/buy their way out of this.
Look, if I were a retail shorter atm (and I am not), I honestly would be jumping ship asap, as there are a lot of far bigger players who are likely also trying to make a hasty, but graceful, exit atm.
