Does anyone know much about Gary Carroll?.
He is experienced as a CFO for G8 and previously Super Retail Group.
I'm not sure what to think. It's nice to see a CEO with good financial skills, however based on the announcement, he has commercial experience, but no Childcare industry specific experience.
I've always felt that a good CEO usually comes from a Sales/Marketing background, generally because CEO's need to be well versed in strategic planning. Being a good numbers guy isn't really what a CEO is about. That's better left for the CFO.
Thoughts? I know nothing about him and I'm just making assumptions based on the announcement.
