In 2010 P&G stated that one of its renewed objectives for the Company's already famous Connect + Develop Business Model was to continue transforming the way business is done but would only partner with the world’s most innovative minds for delivering the company’s largest new product initiatives.

P&G's New Business Creation and Innovation Group was then formed to become a major part of P&G's future business strategy - a group that we've since learned is a significant ally to the OBJ/P&G partnership - a group that we have since learned only work with disruptive innovation - a group that we have since learned is only involved in P&G's +$200m new product opportunities - a group that we have since learned have been directly involved in every single one of P&G's largest new product initiatives proliferated over the past 10 years - and, a group that we've since learned also played a direct advisory role for OBJ performance shares...

As you say, smac, we are 70% through the time period but only about 5% towards the 20 million goal, and based on public notices and financial reporting by the Company to date achieving milestone 3 by November 2017 would by any stretch of the imagination be an almost impossible task from where we're sitting today. And, as a fellow investor, if I were relying solely on the Company without the support of a major partner to get this one over the line then I would certainly be sharing a certain level of angst. However, I have never doubted for a moment that P&G will enable OBJ to reach this milestone, not because they simply have means to do so, but because it forms a very important and integral part of P&G's Connect+Develop Partnership Strategy.

Back on 18/05/2012 OBJ released an announcement titled, "Procter and Gamble Enters Joint Development Agreement" which disclosed that, "The two companies began collaborations over a year ago as part of P&G's Connect+Develop open innovation program." P&G also permitted OBJ to release the following statement from the senior executive at P&G charged with driving P&G's Connect + Develop Partnership Program...

“P&G’s partnership with OBJ and our joint commitment of collaboration directly aligns with P&G’s business strategies, working to develop new solutions and innovations that can touch and improve the lives of our consumers all over the world."

It could be a question of what can P&G bring to the party that will help enable the partner company get to their next milestone?
