Geez,Your getting me a bit worried when did the issues start for you and your friends?I recently just activated my new card and tried to activated over the phone and had issues with activating it.I had to punch in the 16 digit card id.After a few unsuccessful attempts i got directed to a customer service person.I had the right number keyed in but who knows what went wrong.They said they will wave the $4 -$4.50 fee for activating the card over the phone since something was wrong with the system. And yes they are hard to understand when they speak.
I'm about to throw a bit over 300 bucks on the card to purchase something online.I'll make sure i use it immediately after getting back from the post office.I have still got the same card i bought a few years ago with same acc number i just get them to renew that one.
