Yes. That's the exact opposite order of what Turncoat proposed last night.
His is the only viable option. People have to know exactly what they're voting for.
Running the referendums back to front would have been stupid. Every chance the 1st might get up but not the 2nd. I'd have never voted for an open ended yes/no option and I'm sure many feel the same way.
The proponents must present a concrete option .... and to have any chance, it cannot be presented by someone as obviously left as The Pirate. MT was a good choice in 99 and electing a Republican leaning conservative as head (and sweeping out the ARM) is essential so as not to scare the horses.
Direct voting supporters will never have the numbers against Minimalists+ Royalist, so that option has to be off the table or this will never see daylight. Indeed, the same may be true of the alternate scenario.....
