I think most marketing campaigns these days start well before product release. Also, I would say it is good to have people post concerns or perceived deficiencies so that holders and non holders alike can analyse and weigh those views.
I think maybe marketing has changed a fair bit in the last decade. Perhaps the company have a better handle on it than we think? They have certainly engaged people from different industries and backgrounds to review the product and have received some write ups in tech type publications. Still a risk of course but I am hopeful that the product will be so good that there will be a social media buzz about it.
