Why do you refute NIHL settlements? There is evidence about the complications related to settling hearing loss cases and of settlements. I do know 2 people whose hearing has obviously been damaged by work noise. Frankly I have no idea how long it will take or what %, but if hearing has been damaged by noise in a work environment - it seems reasonable that valid claims should settle. If this was not the case why would SGH and others allocate scarce capital in the pursuit of fee paying outcome?
I fully accept that it is still inappropriate to attribute value to NIHL WIP until the fog clears on % probable settlements.
The funny thing about fog is that it eventually clears.
