Good post David Eagle.
I must admit i associate the Ukrain and other parts of far Eastern Europe as "Russia" as a catch all.
I agree the Fe has value, but the Exxaro deal and others (eg. RIO's $10million valuation of Simandou) would indicate the number is unlikely to be attractive.
How do you hope things will look in another 12 months?
Perhaps we will have a commodity price surprise like coal this year? My concern is that even sustained higher iron ore prices may not again ignite investor interest in African iron ore projects. These project require such massive capital and I struggle to see a market imperative to fund any of them in this cycle.
