Turnbull knifed him yet here is Abbott, single-handedly doing everything he can to save Turnbull's reign as PM.
Abbott campaigned strongly for the election of a Turnbull government whilst Turnbull knocked off at lunch time. He held his own seat when so many including the so-called independent James Matheson were against him. A seat, if he had lost it, would have resulted in a loss of government for Turnbull.
Imagine if Abbott had received the same loyalty in return.
