Hi Barkston.
Vale highest grade iron ore is from Itabirite in the form of Pellet Feed or Concentrate. They send it to The Arab States I believe.
One of these mines was started in the 1940's and was due to run out in 2014 I believe. Sundance Resources projects in Cameroon and The Congo Republic has higher grade than Vale in the Itabirite iron ore range. Sundance are trying to get funding for their projects.
