Per graph above, 1900 (as indicated as the temperature anomaly) was period where the correlation between solar activity and temperature seemed to break down but eventually resumed. We may be seeing exactly the same thing today, but otherwise the correlation is pretty clear.

As we can see CO2 has a very poor correlation, from 1930 -1960, temperature dropped while CO2 rose. But this decline correlated with decline in solar activity perfectly.

I recognise that data does not include more recent data, but as I said we maybe in an 'anomalous' period, because on the balance of probabilities its clear solar activity correlates far far more convincingly with temperature than CO2.

That graph was debunked by the study's own authors themselves when they went back and updated the data:

In 1999, one of the co-authors of the original 1991 paper updated their analysis with the latest data (Lassen 1999). They found that the solar cycle length showed no trend in the last few decades of global warming.

They concluded that "since around 1990 the type of Solar forcing that is described by the solar cycle length model no longer dominates the long-term variation of the Northern hemisphere land air temperature".
