Back in the early 90s, when I lived in Adelaide, I would sometimes listen to Keith Conlan's morning show on ABC radio. One morning he was interviewing a climate scientist (name unknown) when the conversation came around to CO2 in the atmosphere and the warming effect of this beneficial gas.
I called in and asked Conlan's producer if she would ask KC to ask the climate scientist what percentage of CO2 man was putting in to the atmosphere each year. The question was asked and the reply was - 'We are uncertain as to the actual figure, but man is putting something less than 5% of the total amount of CO2 going into the atmosphere each year.' The subject of CO2 was dropped at that point.
