The problem is too many people believe in gods.
They pray that these gods will intervene, instead of fixing the problem themselves.
Many of them actually want wars and disasters, because that gives them comfort that their invisible friend will visit them.
Not too many intelligent humans around, especially when it comes to the powerful.
