robbo, Interesting post but having been in and out of MTN [not holding at moment] and long term holder of SMM disagree with some of your "facts"
1. If you had followed the U debate in QLD over the last 18 months you would see that Beattie has PUBLICLY shifted from being anti uranium ,to agreeing to support Fed Labor policy position at April conference. Rudd is pushing a change in policy ,and Ludwig [Qld's powerful Union leader ] stated PUBLICLY he has the numbers TO CHANGE THE POLICY.

So your analysis of Qld uranium mining position needs to be brought up to date.

2. Minor point but shows your carelessness with facts. The Fed election must be this year NOT 2008. Also if Rudd did win ,it does not put U mining at risk[ he supports it remember] it puts NUCLEAR POWER at risk.

Finally I like the MTN story and think there is still ggreat potential .But suggest you do some more research on SMM, its deposits, its potential [PDN didnt become j.v partners for love] before you bag the stock.

If after the April conference the policy hasn't changed and Beattie has said [like Carpenter in W.A] there will bo no U mining in my State you will get my apology.
