Timing has more to do with actually investing or trading. Very few economists go beyond interpreting the data.
Most data is easily obtainable yes, but analyzing it and coming to a conclusion is a different story. This forum is a great example of that, because if it's a conclusion nobody likes then it is deemed irrelevant.
