Agree that gold is a dangerous sector ... particularly with the price going nowhere (Yep, I know everone is bullish for gold in '07.... most were also keen in '06).
The only remotely prudent way to play these stocks is to focus on quality ... reserves, grade, cash cost, (low) hedging and management.
Go quality. Not a time for marginal producers or wannabes.
