The concept does make sense for an APP like Snapchat as I said and it is a pretty logical extension of what they are already doing with the massive *if* caveat being you would need to convince snapchat that the amount they pay SYT is significantly offset by new buisness and in turn new revenue.
The issue I have with the public utilities /carrier MMS / IOT idea from the other day and most other HC user concepts is they don't meet the basic requirements needed to be viable which are:
- Having someone willing to pay SYT more than the cost of the data they are subsidising.
- Having the data saving large enough for any user to actually care about, which at the moment is almost exclusively large apps and video
If you can't tick those two boxes with a concept it's probably going to either struggle to find users or make any money.
