The curriculum meetings you speak of sound like a contest amongst the teaching fraternity to drive their own individual agendas and popularise their hard earned areas of expertise.
How about we focus on what's best for the kids for a change? Or is that not part of the Department of Education's grand plan? After reading award winning teacher John Taylor Gatto's book 'The Dumbing Down of America', I'm not so sure.
