yeah, it might have the horrible effect of depressing house prices, so that my generation can actually afford a decent house somewhere other than Alice Springs.
A bust in house prices here would make life hard for a lot of people, but there are a lot of Australians who have the stupid idea that property "never goes down". They need to learn that getting 3 investment properties and being negative geared up to their eye balls is *not* a ticket to wealth and does carry risks.
