    More waste + more ore that would not have been in the pit without a cutback.

    Sorry, I did not understand at all why there should be a decrease in reserves? Should they give up that pit?

    Grades are not that important. Karouni has high grades but the stripping ratio could be lower.

    Given that the slippages are in the areas with the highest grades and a pit redesign could be in the cards anyway things could turn out to be not that bad and mean delayed production and reserve increase by converting resources and u/g "reserves" to pit reserves although at higher AISC.

    What would happen if the gold price increases significantly? Pit redesign with higher stripping ratio and higher reserves anyway. Low-grading.
