Peak Hill Drilling Programme
Greater Pacific Gold Ltd wishes to advise that the assays from the November 2006 regional geochemical drilling program on the company’s Peak Hill tenements have been received and demonstrate highly anomalous zones over a significant strike length.
A total of 57 Reverse Circulation (RC) holes on twelve lines over a distance of 60km was done to identify and sample the Narracoota Formation volcanics upper contact which hosts the Fortnum, Horseshoe and Cassidy gold deposits.
Sampling was conducted at 1 metre intervals and composited to 2 metre samples which were assayed for parts per billion (ppb) gold.
The results have successfully identified some 25 km of strike along the target contact from which 9 holes returned anomalous gold values over several metres. The holes and contact anomaly line is shown on the accompanying plan. A full technical report on the program is in the process of being completed.
The 25 km of anomalous contact between the holes will now be targeted with infill soil geochemistry and then drilled once the heritage and environmental permits are granted. The soil sampling will be done in February whilst drilling is expected to be undertaken in April.
