bulls about can u understnad forecasts

I read the previous post by millways but don't quite get the same confused (?) take-out that millways does.

The article by Greg Peel at FN Arena makes comment (in part) on analysts tending to have similar sentiment around zinc for 2007.

He says (but not direct quote);

Credit Suisse suggests Chinese exports are overhanging the market in the short term but their view for the rest of the year is for deficit

Citigroup is forecasting a price of US$2lb for 2H of 2007.

UBS say an average (read that carefully!) 2007 price of US$1.85 with a zinc price rebound likely in 1H, 2007. (given prices so far this year are well below the average this will mean a likely price of over US$2.00lb at some time)

OK - they are only analysts forecasts. Funny though a few months ago when prices were up around US$2.00lb we were castigating them for lagging so far behind the reality of the market - now they are well above it - that's really pretty interesting when you think that their fairly bearish forecasts have gone very bullish ??????

What do other zincers make of this?
