In the deep holes 52% is petalite and another 21% is a low grade Li2O waste material which probably contains residual pieces of spodumene and petalite but mainly something else with a specific gravity of between 2.5 and 2.7.

Quartz has a specific gravity of 2.65 and impure varieties range between 2.59-2.63. You might be right. It's probably quartz with remanent pieces of spod and petalite stuck to it.

The biggest impurity is petalite. Until I understand the market and processing routes for petalite concentrate I can't say much more on that. Esh
