Agree W....but even though on paper PXU is $100 ....because SRS has made a complete mess of things in the past and can't ( as yet) pay distributions the market value is ~ $13.
I for one would be happy for SRS to simply generate enough profit to pay PXU dividends ...
This is also something that must be done before dividend can be paid to SRS holders.
But as this potentially a (long?) way off, alternative solutions being considered.
Removing PXU would also assist SRS to clean up their current capuital structure"mess" that is also restricting what SRS can do business wise.
I recognising the situation:
- SRS holders have failed to recognise that SRS is effectively worthless to them as it stands ie subordinate to PXU
- PXU holders need to take a haircut. I would accept around $60 per PXU which is where it was trading before the wheels totally fell off. Others that got in at current day prices would probably accept less.
